Customs and Indirect Tax (SH, GZ and SZ Senior Manager and Manager)

In recent years numerous changes to the customs regulations as well as explosive growth in China trade has created a significant demand for trusted and knowledgeable advisors in this area. We are looking for potential candidates with the right skillset and attitude to assist companies in managing their customs risk, reducing supply chain costs and increasing operational efficiencies by providing quality services and advice.

Responsibilities:
-Demonstrate an understanding of complex import/export, customs and international trade transactions (both from a China and an international perspective) and be able to apply this knowledge directly to client situations;
-Clearly explain the current regulatory environment and assist companies to understand how to operate compliantly and effectively in today’s environment;
-Ability to analyze information and prepare quality, practical approaches to the client's complex supply chain and import/export transactional issues;
-Develop and deliver quality customs and international trade advice with timely and responsive services/work products;
-Build long-term relationships with Clients and Customs; and
-Manage the scheduling of projects and work of service team members.

Requirements:
-A bachelor's degree, preferably with an advanced degree in tax, accounting, trade or law;
-A minimum of 8- 10 years for Senior Managers, 5-7 years for Managers, and 2-4 years for Seniors and Staff Accountants of customs and trade experience in China or internationally;
-Broad exposure to international trade issues but deep experience preferred;
-Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills;
-The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment;
-Traveling within the PRC is required;
-Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin (other languages a plus);
-Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS office and online research tools); and
-Additional credentials such as customs broker license or CPA qualifications are a plus..
